Prendiville Group HQ

The Prendiville Group Headquarters reimagines the former Fremantle Technical School Annex (c.1913) as a calm and refined workplace, where heritage character is paired with contemporary comfort.

Conservation works reinstate the building’s original presence: the façade is carefully restored, and a new permeable fence and landscaped garden reopen the historic entry sequence. Inside, the former classrooms become offices, meeting rooms and a flexible reception and events space. Original elements—timber floors, tall sash windows and the central stair—remain as a testament of history and craft, while new additions such as timber-veneer joinery, glazed partitions and velvet curtains bring warmth, softness and acoustic performance.
New interventions carefully consider the buildings spatial rhythms, natural light, patterns of movement. New workspaces align with the existing structure and windows. The careful integration of services, largely concealed within an acoustic egg-crate ceiling, enhance comfort without disrupting the historic fabric.
The result is a workplace that feels composed, grounded and unmistakably connected to the building’s past—while meeting the needs of a contemporary executive environment.
